The last few days have found me wondering about things
- Why do pedesestrians think it’s ok to run across red lights preventing cars from turning right or left (little green man or red hand is their light – not the big one high up that they will get whiplash trying to see)?
- Why to pedestrians insist on running out into traffic in the dark while wearing dark clothing?
- Am I supposed to be able to read someone’s mind when they stare at me, then make a rude comment because I obviously failed to do or say something?
- Is it my job in the store to do all the work while the store clerks stand behind the counter ignoring me to the point of absolute annoyance?
- Are all teenagers stupid or just the ones on the streets in the middle of the day – perhaps they should be in school.
- Why does sour cream have an expiration date?
- Why does a trip to Costco, even when I want two things, cost me a couple of hundred dollars?
- Why is the Wii so damned addictive?
- Do computer users really think that if their jobs don’t print the first five times they send it, it’s really going to help to send it twenty more times (yes there were thirty-six jobs from the same person in the queue)
- Why is the price of gas less than thirty-five dollars a barrel, yet I’m still paying a dollar a litre….when the price was ninety-dollars a barrel I was paying a dollar a litre too?
- Is it really all about corporate greed these days?
- Why does it really matter today that Luke and Leia were brother and sister?
- What makes people think it’s ok to hate for no reason other than they don’t like the way they look or think?
- If the newspaper is a daily edition why is it always yesterdays news? Why is there no news after 8pm the night before?
- Will the internet really get full?
Alas, I fear that some of these thoughts have no answers…they are mere imponderables.
